I lost my desktop folder in finder and when I tried to recover it, I lost my entire desktop. I somehow recovered my desktop but now all of my icon images are not populating in the folders. Everything says waiting to upload. How do I recover my icon images in my folders?
Open Finder. Finder in Menu > Preferences > Sidebar. Verify "Desktop" is selected ... has a little blue checkmark.
That will return your Desktop folder.
Have you done a Spotlight search? Partial names will work. That will give you many hits; page through them to find what you're looking for.
