What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

What is your model remote? Identify your Apple TV remote - Apple Support


Waking or setting to standby through another device can be a function of CEC. That may or may not be available on the TV, and when available would have to be activated on both devices. Control your TV or receiver with your Apple TV Remote - Apple Support

Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier) do not support CEC.
