How the recipient views your emails depends on what app they are using to view emails and what their settings are. Are only emails from you embedded or are emails from other people showing embedded as well? Apple Mail displays all images and one-page PDFs in the body of the message by default.
At the end of the day it’s the email client which get a say how it represent the mail it receive, your email client got no say same if you write a mail in a font the recipient do not have on their computer.
So I just figured it out. After you attach the photo to the email, control click on the attachment (Photo) and select view as icon. The recipient of the email can click on the icon to view the picture.
Simply right click the attachment and select Show as Icon.
Are you saying to tell the other end recipient to right click? I have tried to help them but they insist the images show but are embedded and not an attachment.
No the sender right clicks the attachment. Your original post is not clear if you are the sender or recipient.
How do you change the default? I do not want my pictures embedded in the email. I want to add them as an attachment. This used to work, but evidently something has been changed.
Thanks, but this method embeds the picture in the email which I don't want.
I would like the picture to appear as an icon, not in the body of the email.
