trying to sync my outlook contacts with my iphone XR using itunes. nothing is showing up. previously synced with an Exchange system, but not any longer. what is going on.

Tried to do the iCloud for Windows and as soon as it synced with Outlook it erased all my contacts, calendars and tasks. fortunately i was able to recreate most of them. Not sure what to do next. Did get existing iTunes to sync phone and Outlook.
