External microphone

I'm really frustrated!! I've been using the Smule Sing app for years using an external microphone and headphones. Since new apple products don't have headphone Jack's, I had to do it differently. I used the iRig Voice microphone that has an adapter at the end of the cord that let's me plug in headphones. Then I had to use an adapter to plug that into my IPad since the port on it now is usb c. It worked well for a couple years, but one of the recent updates has made it so it won't work. I used Smule Sing a lot and really want to use it again. Can anyone tell me how I can use an external microphone and headphones for Smule Sing on my IPad Air?? Please, can anyone help me?

To clarify, are you encountering an issue with the adapter? Is it not working for headphones, your microphone or both? We ask that to determine if perhaps the issue is output, input or both.

Is Bluetooth an option for headphones?
