My headphones have been unused for a few years. When I plug them in to charge, the light blinks red then white then stays white. I unplug them but they won't turn on. What is the problem?
I am trying to use my Beats X headphones. They have been unused for a few years. When I plug them in to charge, the light blinks red and white then stays white. When I unplug them, they will not turn on.

If you store a device when its battery is fully discharged, the battery could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding a charge. For more info, see:

That battery replacement (or wholesale replacement) would be the usual repair for a dead battery, yes.
