My Mac won’t accept the correct password. I don’t see an option to reset the password either. What should I do?

I restarted my computer after lagging. When I try to enter my password, it says it’s incorrect. I’ve type it slowly and made sure it was the correct password, but it won’t accept it. I also don’t see an option to restart my laptop. What should I do?
