Everytime (almost) I pick up my iPhone, the camera app opens. Which is very inconvenient. The touch screen responses on iPhones are almost completely unpredictable, and even switching apps can be difficult. First, why does the camera app keep opening unexpectedly? Second, is there any way to prevent this behavior? Thanks!

There is one setting that could potentially cause the camera to open when you pick up your phone: Use Back Tap on your iPhone - Apple Support
Aside from that, or accidentally pressing the camera button on your Lock Screen, this would likely be a physical issue with the phone requiring a repair. If that's the case, you can get started on that here: iPhone Repair - Official Apple Support
