Weird Error: All Filenames wrong (Modification Date) -> (6 digits shown, instead of 4)

Hello,

I've recently had a problem with the years of ALL files on my Mac (see the attached screenshot). The year is shown with 6 digits instead of 4. My operating system is up-to-date. I am using a new MacBook Pro M1.

What can I do to get a handle on the file name (or modification date) problem? At the moment, everything is messed up.

Thanks a lot for help and support,

Manuel

There have been reports of storage date FORMATS when the region information was set incorrectly or it preferences were damaged.

The solution has been to set a wildly different, unwanted region, close the window and save changes, then set the correct region, close the window and save changes, and then test again.

System preferences > language & region > general...

...Region is the top choice in the right column.
