MacBook Air 13 trying to update but have to choose a startup disk

I’m trying to update my MacBook Air 13 (2015)to Monterey and this shows up. It has been 2 hours waiting so I can choose a startup disk and nothing has popped up. I don’t know what to do please help.

MacBook Air 13″, OS X 10.11
