can add my music to iMovie

i want to import some music for my imovie project. i'm using the latest version. so i am able to import things like sound effects inbuilt to imovie but not my own music from Apple Music. it keeps coming up with 'no importable files' 'none of the selected files or folders can be imported. change the selection and try again'.

All music from Apple Music is DRM (Digital Rights Managed) protected and cannot be used in iMovie. You can purchase a song from iTunes and that song will be usable in iMovie.
