Black screen and images on Macbook pro

Hi,


My 2015 macbook pro (monterey) is showing the following images on startup and the cursor is not moving. Any thoughts on what could be causing this and a possible solution?

It appears to be external mouse and trackpad "battery" symbols... Are you connected and using these external peripherals(?)


replace the battery/charge the battery(?)



Recharge the built-in battery in your Apple keyboard, mouse, or trackpad - Apple Support

If you are getting this is in error—

you can Try resetting the SMC How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support


Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)




2015 had the trackpad cable issues—


If your keyboard/Trackpad flex cable has a fault and is failing—

it is asking you to connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to the machine; you can try connecting externally and compare your results.
