Can't display all mail flags in Monterey

Is there any way to customize the column view in Mail like in previous OS versions? Specifically, I'd like to permanently view all flags as a column. Monterey seems to have eliminated that functionality and only offers filtering by flag.

It seems to me this removes most of the utility of color-coded flags. What's the point if the only way I can see important emails is if I know about and search for them??

If anyone knows of a way to display a "flagged" column, I'd love to restore this functionality.

Right/Control click in the headers area and mark "Flags" in the drop down menu.
