I cannot turn on find my watch
I can navigate in my phone to the toggle where it is to be enabled but Find my watch is off and greyed out so I cannot switch it on.
any ideas?

I think it may have been a result of changing my iPhone. I had to unpair and erase my watch settings and repair as you suggested and it’s all working now.
