How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support

Have a backup prior to upgrading.

If you upgrade past macOS Mojave—if your Mac supports macOS Catalina or newer—ensure all your apps, and your printer and scanner drivers—are all 64-bit apps. Older 32-but apps will have to be updated, upgraded, replaced, or retired. This includes Microsoft Office 2011 and earlier, which must be upgraded to newer, or replaced, or retired. To find older and problematic apps, you can use the Go64 tool.
