How do I arrange photos chronologically in an album in photos app on my mac(monterey)?

Go to the album and select view->sort->Keep sorted by Oldest first or Keep Sorted by Newest First.
Keep working at it. You might be surprised to learn how many of the volunteers here are at your age or older.
