If you've forgotten your iPad passcode, you will need to use a Mac or PC to erase the device and install a new copy of iPadOS.
A few things to keep in mind:
- You will lose all the data on your device. If your device was backed up, for example to iCloud, you can restore your backup onto the device after.
- If your iPad was signed into your Apple ID and you had Find My iPad enabled, after restoring the device, you will need to enter your Apple ID and password to set up iPad. If you've forgotten your password to your Apple ID, check out If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support (CA).
