RE: OS Monterey potential problems?

Thinking about upgrading to OS Monterey from OS Mojave (10.14.6) and want to get an idea if there are going to be problems with Final Cut Pro (10.4.6).

I've checked with DaVinci Resolve17.4.6 and Adobe Elements 20 don't seem to have problems with OS Monterey.

The current version of FCP is 10.6.3.

I think 10.4.6 should still work, but unless you have a need to go back and forth to another mac in 10.4.6, I don't see why you'd stay with the older version.

Before you upgrade your OS, always have a full backup.

In fact, you should have TWO backups.

Make an installer in a USB thumb drive, boot from it, erase the internal drive, install Monterey, and migrate the user accounts, and nothing else, from your backup.

Install applications fresh.

This will have all your data and preferences as they were, and a fresh system install, unemcumbered by old stuff that could cause issues.
