Hello,
Does anyone know why my Mac Mini HDMI out will not connect into the Display port of the HP X24c gaming monitor? Using the display port cable that looks like an HDMI on one edge and is straight—not curved—on the other edge.
I am using the latest OS on the Mac Mini.

Identify your Mac mini model - Apple Support
If you have a 2018 or later model, then you need to use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.
If you have a 2014 or earlier model, then you need a MiniDisplay Port to DisplayPort cable.

You should connect the mini’s HDMI port to the HP’s HDMI port using a regular HDMI cable not longer than 5’. Are you? Why not?
