My Dock has started automatically hiding, despite the setting being set not to.

ISSUE:

My Dock has started automatically hiding, despite the setting being set not to.

Not sure if it's related but my recycle Bin icon also disappeared from my desktop at the same time.

I've restarted multiple times, same issues.

I'm on the latest mac OS version and build.

macOS Monterey v12.4

Is there a way to restore the OS or anything?

thanks

Try Safe Mode, as per > How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Then revisit your Dock & Menu Bar preference settings.

The Dock will also hide and show while using Full Screen windows and Spaces.

Thanks, i'd cleared out the cache folder on the mac as it'd been running slow, seems though the setting to hide the dock needed to be enabled, rebooted then disabled again for whatever reason, it's back again now and seems to be staying there!

I've had this happen twice since the most recent update, not sure if its a bug or not but thanks for responding so quickly.

And thanks for your help :)
