Fixing issues with my 90yo mothers iphone by remotely taking control with my ipad

Is it possible to take control of my elderly mothers iphone with my ipad (300 miles away) to help fix setting issues, reboot and etc.?

I'm afraid not, as each device to be remotely controlled must be in the same Wi-Fi network and be signed in to the same Apple ID. (About Switch Control - Apple Support)

Your best bet is to do a screen share FaceTime call - Share your screen in FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
