How do I get my Apple Watch 7 to accurately count my steps? I have tried recalibrating with no luck. I have a Fitbit Zip that I know is accurate after having performing many tests. The Apple Watch is inaccurate by 1000-5000 steps, generally on the high side when pushing a lawn mower or shopping cart. I have tried recalibrating 3 times with no success, so please don’t tell me that works. Also, my personal information is up to date.
Just something that may help with this if you haven’t tried is unpairing and re-pairing your watch to your iPhone. Hope it helps if you haven’t tried this already!

I tried unpairing and repair. With a short 100 steps test it was better. Fitbit said 99 steps and Apple Watch said 94 steps.
