My phone was stolen and when retrieved was smashed. I do not kno any of my information like my Apple ID I used or even what password if I do remember name. Alls i hv is my phone number and my name used on my account so how can I use my air tag I still have connected to broken/ stolen device??? Please help and I’m using someone else’s iPad and Apple ID to ask this question so if you can tell me how just KP that in mind
See if you can recover the ID/password. An iCloud e-mail address is an Apple ID. Use every email address you can think of.

You can also go to iCloud.com or appleid.apple.com and see if your Apple ID prefills on the sign-in screen.
If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.

Unfortunately you will need the Apple ID to recovery these devices.
