My iphone music library is not syncing to my Macbook Pro no matter what i try or read on Apple support. What am I missing?

Yes, it will disappear. If the music was purchased from the iTunes Store you can download it on your Mac. If it was from another source you might be able to download it. Or you can try this User tip: Recover your iTunes library from your iPo… - Apple Community
Thanks again. I now am back to syncing at the Finder, and with the question here that I had before. The button says ""Sync music onto iPhone (6)." This I am reluctant to do, because all the music I used to have on my Mac is now gone, but still on iPhone.
I don't want to click this button and have all my music disappear from iPhone. I want the iPhone music to copy back to my Mac. Is this what will happen?

That is what I was afraid of. Actually, everything I have in music was from my own sources, nothing from iTunes. I'll try Recover.
