I want to display text only in a cell

I want to insert text like "127/70" or "80/24" as text only, but Numbers automatically treats that as a division formula and gives me a result. I can't find out how to convert the cells to display the text I enter and not execute a formula. Web and documentation searches have not helped. Any recommendations?

Two solutions:

  1. format the cell as TEXT before entering the text
  2. enter the text after an apostrophe:' like this: '127/70 or '80/24 (Numbers will consider this as text)
