Reset password with no wifi

My computer is not able to connect to Wi-Fi and I am stuck on the utility screen after attempting to reset my MacBook

Need help with a iMac password reset problem High Sierra Hi folks, I have an older iMac with High Sierra. It has been offline for a while and since that last time, out wifi password has changed. I cant recall the old password and now I think it cant do the password reset because it cant connect to the network. I thought I would be able to click into the wifi settings but I guess not without logging in. The password reset just spins and never goes through. Any ideas?

You don't need WiFi to reset your local password: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Change Password

You do, however; need to be able to login locally using the old password. That also doesn't require WiFi.
