Apple doesn't replace or actually repair iPad. Instead, you can purchase an out of warranty replacement, which would be a like new, but refurbished replacement iPad for a reduced (about 60% of the cost of the iPad when new) cost. The cost is greatly reduced if you have a valid AppleCare+ plan on your iPad.

You can schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius bar, but before you go, make sure you backup your iPad so you can restore your data to the replacement device.
