Many of my apps on new iPad say waiting

When transferring data and Apps to a new iPad, the Apps themselves are not transferred - only a “record” of the installed Apps is transferred from old to new iPad. The Apps are then automatically downloaded from the App Store and installed on the new device.

However, it is not unusual for the App download process to stall - and require intervention to clear the issue. Simply perform a long-touch (i.e., touch and hold) on any App that appears to be stuck; next select Prioritise Download. This should kick-start and complete the App installation process.

Applications aren't transferred from the old unit; instead, they're redownloaded from the App Store. Wait until they're finished.
