I cannot use my personal hotspot on my iPhone

FWIW, I always have to “Allow others to Connect” AND tap on “Password” to initially establish a connection. (Don’t have to actually do anything to the password, just look at it and click “Done”)

This is to connect my own “trusted devices” with which I routinely connect to the hotspot.

I suspect … but don’t know … that this is a Carrier Setting; as it’s worked this way for years across multiple iPhones and iOSs.

Some cellular providers do not offer the hot spot on certain plans. Does your plan include/allow a hot spot? (ATT took my hot spot away when I upgraded plans but then gave it back recently)
