How to get rid of "ghost" icons in Launchpad?

In MacOS 12.5 (and earlier, dating back to perhaps MacOS 12.1 at least) occasionally after removing an app from Applications, a ghostly icon remains ... which I can't seem to able to remove. These icons (I've accumulated several), look like this:



... still there in Launchpad long after removing the GoToMeeting v10.16.0 app itself from my Mac a year ago.

Duh, finally went and tried the obvious thing: as in iOS, click (touch) and hold an icon. Then they all start to jiggle, and the icon can be deleted in the obvious way. So, solved.
