number and email

i want to send and receive messages and calls with my number not my email and i’m having trouble with switching it

If you go into Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, it should show you your email and phone number for sending messages. You'll want to select your phone number under Start New Conversations From. Conversations that are already in progress will continue to show your email instead.
