I have ran into the same issue. My screen broke and kept entering a random password until it maxed out. I had the screen repaired the next morning and have been trying to gain access to the phone all day. The only way around it so far is to erase all the data. I also found out the cloud hadn't backed up my data in almost 2 years. I will keep searching to find another way.
