Password for Touch ID:

Use the password of your Administrator user on your Mac --not your Apple ID password. It will popup on a window prompting you for this.

  1. Go Here: Use Touch ID on Mac - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Use Touch ID to unlock your Mac, log in, or switch users
  3. As it Reads: "Only user accounts that have passwords can be unlocked with Touch ID. Sharing-only users and guest users cannot use Touch ID."
