Can't delete emails

I especially notice deleted emails in a Yahoo account I'm using in Apple Mail reappear a few seconds after I deleted them This has been happening for a few months. I'm using OS 12.5 and Mail 16.0. It was also happening before the recent, latest OS update

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? Any help would be very appreciated; that mail box has almost 7,000 unwanted emails that I can't delete.. Also, when I tried to sign in to Apple Discussion, I got a notice that someone was trying to sign in using my Apple ID in Chicago. I do not live in Illinois.

Thank you for your input. Obviously a late 2015 iMac in no longer covered by Apple Care but in the past theynwere willing to help, even when out of coverage, at no charge. I will call them in the morning. I'm desperately waiting for a 27" iMac to have an Apple chip...M1, M2, it doesn't matter to me. Apparently the 27" iMac is on the horizon for that update, but I have other issues with this iMac, like turning itself off about 8 times a day. I desperately need a new one but am trying to hold out for an Apple chip. 24" is not big enough for me, laughable when I consider my first 128K Mac had a 9" screen LOL!

We cannot speculate (per the Terms of Use we all agreed to) about any Apple products that have not been announced. If you need another Mac and I would not wait, I'd either buy a Mac mini and an external display or buy a 24" iMac or if you need a portable, get yourself a MBA or MBP. You have a LOT of options available to you.

In short, don't wait for something that at best is 100% vaporware! Your wait could be extremely long and a complete waste of time if nothing develops!

Currently the only 27" Mac is either a Mac Mini M1with a 27" Studio display or a Mac Studio with a 27" Studio Display.

The Studio display is $1600 and you can get a very, very good external display for much, much less. That and an M1 Mini would be your best bet as long as it has 16 GB of RAM and as large an SSD as your budget can afford.

You could probably get two very good 27" monitors to run with your Mini for less than $1000.

If you're looking for a 27" iMac now Apple has a number of refurbished 27" iMacs and iMac Pros which are as good as new. They come with the same new Mac warranty and Apple Care if desired. Click here to see what's currently available. I noticed that there are a number of 2020 27" iMacs with 128 GB RAM but only 256 GB boot drive. If the ram amount intrigues you know that it's very easy to add external storage via external SSDs or HDDs.

Thank you for your suggestions. I’ve been thinking about a Mac Mini. I enjoy photo editing and creating projects in iMovie. I don’t understand all the technical jargon in the descriptions of various models, but I do know SSD is much better and faster than the hard drive in my late 2015 iMac, whose 1TB drive I did quite a good job of filling up. I’d be looking for a fast processor and a large SSD drive. I don’t know if it’s allowed but are you able to recommend a good 27” minimum display that would be best for my editing interests?

Thank you for the link you included for the refurbished iMacs. I’ll check them out. I’ve read that a 5 or 6 year old computer is nearing the end of it’s life span. I don’t know if that’s true but I think my late 2015 iMac is near death and I’d better do something before that happens even though I back up with Time Machine. I’m thinking about a Mac Mini and don’t know much about them so need to do some research and make a decision. This forum is a big help! Thanks again for your reply.
