I switched Iphones. My apple watch would not connect to my new phone without unpairing. So I unpaired my old phone to it. While this was going on, my apple watches battery died. I now have to send in my watch for battery replacement. My old phone says it is not paired to any watch.
I'm slightly concerned when Apple get the watch it will say still paired. Nothing shows for the watch on either phone. Is there another way to verify this?

From a web browser,sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.
Go to Find iPhone.
Click All Devices at the top of the screen.
Click your Apple Watch.
Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.
Click Remove from Account.
