After last iOS 15.6 update I Can longer send text messages to non iphone users. How can I fix this?

Settings, Messages, ensure SMS is on.
Settings, General, About check for carrier update.
Settings, Messages, ensure SMS is on.

Please get an SMS messaging plan enabled by your Carrier for the SIM that you use.

There is nothing in ios15.6 that will prevent this so take SravanKrA's advice
