Strange mooonshape icon on odd part of the screen

I see a weird crescent shape in the top right hand corner of my screen above and to the right of the battery icon. What is this?

"Do Not Disturb is on. This setting silences calls, alerts, and notifications until you turn it off. Alarms will still sound."
