Verification Code isn't working

Hi!


Just found my old and locked iPad.

Did a hard reset with iTunes, and now it is working but I had no clue what was my apple ID.


So, I've opened a new apple ID and assigned the iPad as a new one.

Now, when I try to sign in with my new apple ID, it says "Type your password followed by the verification code..." which I did received as SMS to my cell phone.


When I enter the apple ID password again from start, and then in the same field right after the password, I'm typing the verification code, it just shows a message says that the password is wrong!


I reviewed old posts about similar issues but nothing seems to get it done.

Any suggestions on how to sign in to my new apple ID account on my 1st generation iPad??

Yeah the code that you receive per SMS is another code then the code you'll need now, Now you will need a code to enter instead of your password, because the first gen iPad does not support 2 factor authentication. The code that you'll receive per SMS Is a code to enter after you logged in with your Apple ID and verification code.


You'll need another trusted device to get access to this code
