Sidecar not working M1 MacBook Pro

I have a new M1 MacBook Pro and an M1 iPad Pro and I am unable to access Sidecar, Screen Mirroring or even Universal control.

I am signed in to the same account on both devices, tried connecting them via usb (as trusted devices) and bluetooth and airplay is on and they are connected to the same WiFi network.

Still, they do not show up as options to connect. Please help. :(

You seem to have done a great job of checking most of the things that could make this not work.

The only thing you didn’t mention was the OS version on each device. I’d make sure that both are running the most up to date version - that would be 12.5 on the mac and 15.6 on the iPad.

If they are up to date and the problem persists, Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here.

Use the “additional text” button and paste the report into the text box.

There could be some third party software blocking this.
