Macbook Pro (14-inch, 2021) freezes randomly

I have the same issue that was reported here: MacBook freezes randomly - Apple Community. In the course of normal use, my computer will freeze up and become unusable for something like 20 seconds, during which I can't do anything, including move the mouse. I have plenty of disk space, not too many programs running, and can't identify any patterns that trigger it. Is there any way to diagnose this? It has the feel of programs back in the day waiting for disk access, which doesn't make a lot of sense, since this is all SSD.

Device: MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021)

Chip: Apple M1 Pro

Memory: 16 GB

Disk space: 25% full (1 TB max)

Hi,

Try to check your MacBook Pro with Apple Diagnostics if it's caused by hardware related issue.
