Import ical, import Google calendar

Hi all

I’d like to import (not sync) my Google calendar to iCloud calendar. I have created an iCal file (3001 calendars entries) from my Google account but am unable to import to iCloud.

I do not have a Mac - only iPad and iPhone (all most recent OS updates)

I have tried opening the iCal file in mail and iCloud - but the add button in the top right corner that used to appear is now intermittent.

when it does appear it only offers to import a small fraction of the entries (and that number changes)

opting to add that small number of entries does not actually work anyway

I have spoken to apple support who say the import button in mail was removed a number of iOS versions ago, so that’s an explanation for the behaviour

I have looked for third party apps, but there don’t appear to be any

apple support say ical import is no longer supported unless via a Mac

has anyone found a work around and had any success in doing this please?
