Why can’t I make calls or text to people
I can’t call or text even though I have a SIM card in and it’s did this same thing for my last phone

Kindly refer to this apple blog for settings update If you can't make or receive calls on your iPhone - Apple Support in your device, if you still face the same issue you can contact your sim card network provider to look into this issue
