Finder Window is not showing key information

I just installed Catalina and I am in the process of transferring data onto my new SSD hard drive. In the Finder Window, my new hard drive is not visible under the Locations heading on the left side tab. Why is that? My external hard drive is visible there but not my internal hd. Can I get some help to place the internal hard drive in the Locations part of the Finder Window tab?

Thank you 🙏

Hello rainair.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're not able to see your internal hard drive when viewing the sidebar in Finder. If so, we'd like to help out. Try checking your Finder preferences to make sure that your hard drive is showing: Customize the Finder toolbars on Mac - Apple Support

1.) Open Finder.

2.) From the menu bar, select Finder > Preferences.

3.) Once your preferences are open, select Sidebar.

4.) Under Locations, it will list external and internal disks. Make sure Hard disks is selected with a check mark.

We hope this information is helpful. Cheers.
