Just updated to Monterey 12.5.1 on MacBook Air and now I can’t separate pages in a pdf. I was able to drag and drop individual pages to the desktop before the update and now I can’t.
someone please help, I need this for my real estate business.
MacBook Air
No cleaner or antivirus is installed on the MacBook. We’ve restarted multiple times. Also tried with Adobe acrobat and it won’t split the doc.
it is downloaded from sky slope / digisign which is a digital contract.
it’s acting almost like the doc is locked. Does preview auto encrypt documents now with the new update?
There has been no change to functionality. I am unable to recreate your issue. Dragging and dropping individual pages works as expected. Do you have any kind of cleaner or antivirus program installed on your Mac? Perhaps uninstall those and try again. Or, restart your Mac and try again.
I think we figured out the work around.
we had to make Adobe acrobat the default program that opens pdfs. Then we switched the default back to the preview app and it started working.
we’ll see if it stays working.

Can you separate pages from any other pdf? If you create your own, can you then manipulate it? Perhaps the file you’ve downloaded does not allow editing.
