iOS15.6.1 update killed my cellular service

I am an iPhone 11 Pro. Worked perfectly. Immediately upon installing iOS 15.6.1 update all cellular connection lost. (wifi still works fine). Unable to make or received calls or texts. Took it in to repair shop. Guy said phone is showing modem issue, not connecting. He said he would guess that the phone was dropped dislodging the modem chip except that a couple of days ago another customer experienced the identical problem when updating is iphone X. He said nothing can be done unless and until Apple addresses the issue. (he mentioned that a few years back there was an identical issue with the iPhone 7; it took Apple a while and they finally issued a fix and gave everyone a 3 year warranty). Anyone else experience this problem?

Yes! Same I have an IPhone 11 and as soon as I updated it to IOS 15.6.1 I’m unable to send and receive text messages from people who have smartphones. However I'm still able to receive and make calls with them. My wifi is working good and of course I'm able to text and call other people who have iPhones as well. I thought it was my phone company but I called and they said everything was good on their end so it must be something with Apple.
