why wont my iphone back up when I have enough storage

Do you have enough storage on your iPhone or on iCloud. Backups are created and backed up on iCloud. Do you have enough storage space on iCloud for a backup? To find out, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud: What do you see at the top portion of your screen here? You should see how much storage space is used and available on iCloud.

You do not have enough storage space on iCloud to complete your iPhone’s backup file. 4GB left on iCloud is not enough. You will need to purchase iCloud storage space if you want to create backup files on iCloud.
