Follow these steps to check for new Apple software updates on your Mac:

  1. Go to the Apple menu.
  2. Click About This Mac, then click Software Update in the window that opens.
  3. Select the Software Update option. Click About This Mac, then click Software Update in the window that opens.
  4. Check for available macOS updates.
