Phone number on imessages

Hello everyone,

I'm having the issue on my ipad that I can't use my phone number on imessages. I added my phone number to my Apple-ID and tried turning off imessages and restarting the device before turning imessages back on, but in the option " send and receive" it still shows only my email adress (as my apple-ID) and no option for my phone number.

Is there a solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance.

As you don’t an iPhone, this is why you won’t be able to use this phone number with FaceTime.

Without an iPhone, you’ll not be able to use your non-Apple mobile phone number for FaceTime or SMS/MMS messaging from your iPad.

Presumably you have an iPhone - as it is this phone number that can be associated with FaceTime calls.

Ensure that you have added your iPhone cellular phone number here:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > Name, Phone Numbers, email > [Contactable At] - edit as necessary

Hey,

I actually do not have an iPhone, but I did add the number in the mentioned settings on the iPad.

If adding it on the iPad doesnt solve the problem, would it work if I log in on someone else's iPhone with my Apple-ID and then add my number?
