Troubleshooting USB SuperDrive:

A. Set this up Correctly:

Perform as instructed here: How to Connect the Apple USB SuperDrive.

B. Verify the Connection:

See if the SuperDrive is even seen:

Hold Down: the Option key
Click: the Apple menu
Select:: About this Mac...
Click: System Report... button
Select: Disc Burning (on the left of screen)
Look For: this SuperDrive
