rental movies from iTunes

I have rented films in the past from iTunes, they have played, and deleted after a while, now, it tells me on my laptop (windows) that film has downloaded, but, it will not play, just a black screen. I have a newer laptop for work use with up to date software, both apple and windows update are installed but nothing. I have re authorized both laptops, nothing happens. Older laptop is windows 10 (Can't upgrade to 11), newer laptop is windows 11, have installed apple update on both , can download and play music perfectly, but not films, any help please?
